Rosehip
From the flowers of the wild rose, the rosehips are created in the
Fall. The wild rose grows in all of Europe and blooms from June to
Mid-July.
The fruits glow dark red in the fall and have small, hairy pips (you
might remember those used as a great itching powder). Only the meaty
skins are used in fruit teas, which have to be separated carefully from
the pits in a complicated procedure. The most important countries of
origin are Chile, the Balkans, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Our
rosehip origins from Chile.
