Customer Service Representative

Job Profile: Customer Service Representative – Wholesale tea, coffee and accessories
Status: Full-time
Location: Downtown Chicago, IL


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver a consistent, exceptional level of Customer Service to new and existing customers
• Data entry into the company’s customer database
• Accurately and efficiently transact orders received by email, voice, Web shop
• Act as sales support
• Work successfully with other departments to ensure the customer’s requests and concerns are accurately addressed
• Manage phone calls, ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries, claims, and maintain high customer satisfaction
• Support in event planning: tradeshows in the tea/coffee/gift industry
• Travel to tradeshows


REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• Self-motivated and proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible with a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills, ability to adapt and thrive in a multi-cultural environment
• Organized with the ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong sense of timeliness
• Resourceful; Ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts independently
• Work well independently and as part of a team


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years customer support experience or experience as a Client Service Representative
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field
• Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Preferred: Experience with tea, or coffee, specialty food, wine
